Title Reinforcement, Rewards, and Intrinsic Motivation II (Feb 18)
Year 2021/2022
Subject Area Inclusive Education
Audience Group All Staff
Open to external participants? No
Reinforcement, direct instruction, and explicit instruction are deemed effective and supported with decades of academic and behavioural research. These practices represent a consensus about beneficial basic teaching procedures for students, regardless of those students' characteristics (i.e. UDL). This workshop will tackle the widespread misinformation around those practices and model how they can be used more systematically in the classroom (e.g. creating opportunities to respond.)
Note: Attendees can register for Reinforcement, Reward, and Intrinsic Motiviation II once they have completed the first workshop Reinforcement, Reward and Intrinsic Motivation.
