The Importance of Indigenous Perspectives in Children’s Environmental Inquiry
With Rosa Na and Danielle Marcoux-Hunter, Natural Curiosity
How to move deeper into land-based and inquiry-led learning? How might you process your experiences, ask questions and share stories? As you explore you own inquiry, you may discover unexpected capacities in your students and in yourself. Find ways to connect children to the natural world in the spirit of Truth and Reconciliation.

CHEQ - Children's experiences in early environments
With UBC HELP
The CHEQ is an innovative way to capture and report on children’s experiences in their early environments. The CHEQ focuses on experiences in specific areas of development that are strongly linked to children’s health and well-being, education and social outcomes.

Story Workshop: Story Workshop as a Path toward Understanding
With Susan MacKay and Matt Karlsen
Combining quality literature, experiences with the arts, and story creation supports children as meaning-makers striving to understand themselves, their families, and their worlds. This session invites participants to experience how story workshop is a structure that supports that continuity.
